Jordan Henderson has gotten used to lifting trophies in recent times and the most recent one came last weekend when Liverpool’s captain made history with the FIFA Club World Cup win that saw Liverpool win the continental treble.

Liverpool fans probably expect him to lift the Premier League trophy next May, but right now they have plenty of reasons to celebrate Henderson and his accolades. As a matter of fact, the midfielder has joined a group of just six other captains to have lifted the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA World Club Cup in the same year.

Fernando Hierro - Real Madrid, 2002

Carles Puyol - Barcelona, 2009

Philipp Lahm - Bayern Munich, 2013

Andres Iniesta - Barcelona, 2011, 2015

Iker Casillas - Real Madrid, 2014

Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid, 2016, 2017

Jordan Henderson - Liverpool, 2019

Liverpool became the first English club to win these three titles in one year, doing something neither Manchester United nor Chelsea could do in the past.

Real Madrid have three captains on this list, and Sergio Ramos even managed to do it twice himself, just like Barcelona's Andres Iniesta.

Henderson, meanwhile, is hoping to continue his good moment with Liverpool, as they aim to win the Premier League next year. Right now Jurgen Klopp's team find themselves 10 points clear of second-place Leicester City in the Premier League and with a game in hand.

It looks like Henderson will make history once again, lifting Liverpool’s first-ever Premier League trophy.
