Jose Mourinho was recently appointed as Tottenham Hotspur's new boss, so people started speculating about the moves the Portuguese could do in this upcoming transfer window.

Mourinho is a man of few words but he's never hesitated to let everybody know how he feels about some of his players, and he's been known for taking 'his guys' with you wherever he goes.

Therefore, a lot of people thought the Spurs could make a run at Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who Mourinho coached in Internazionale and then in Manchester United, and who recently left LA Galaxy following a superb season.

But, when asked about the possibility of Zlatan making it to the Spurs, 'The Special One' quickly shut down any speculation about that transaction by claiming they don't need a new strike with Harry Kane in town:

"No chance. We have the best striker in England. One of the top two, three strikers in the world. It doesn't make any sense of a striker of Zlatan's dimensions - a striker in his 30s but that can play at any club in the world - it doesn't make sense to come to a club where we have Harry Kane," Mourinho told the press, as quoted by Reuters.

Mourinho then turned his attention to the UEFA Champions League, as the club just needs a win vs. Olympiacos would secure them a spot in the knock-out stage, and he looked quite confident on his side's chances to make it far in the competition this season:

"I love the competition as much as everyone in football," he said. "It’s something that everyone dreams of winning. We have two matches to qualify and we need to focus on these matches first. Give me time, give me time to develop my ideas and we will have no problem going to play any team in Europe. We are not afraid of anyone. If you can win at home in your first game that’s also important. Our stadium is the best stadium in the world and we have great support, so we are going to try to have a good result and qualify," he concluded.

Mourinho has never been known for his beautiful way of playing the game, but he's for sure a proven winner, so Tottenham fans must be eager to see him at his best in the UEFA Champions League after their heart-breaking loss vs. Liverpool in the previous final.
