There have been rumors suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus after this season, with some saying he’s set to rejoin Manchester United or go seek a new challenge with Paris Saint-Germain.
All those rumors have been played down by Juventus director Fabio Paratici, who stated Cristiano Ronaldo will “without a doubt” be at the Allianz Stadium next season. Furthermore, Paratici claimed CR7 desires to win another Ballon d’Or during his time in Italy.
Questions have been asked about Cristiano and his future with the Serie A side amid supposed strain in his relationship with Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri. Ronaldo was substituted on two occasions and left out completely when nursing a knee complaint during November, with Sarri saying that a superstar performer needs to “recover brilliance”.
Paratici is hopeful things will be good once again, so there won’t be any reason for both parties to part ways at the end of the season.
“I smile because there are other problems,” Paratici told Sky Sports Italia when asked about Cristiano’s absence at the Ballon d’Or gala.
“He wanted this award [Serie A MVP] because he is an ambitious person and he wants to show he is also the best here.
“In our opinion he deserves the Ballon d’Or. He will be at Juventus next season, without a doubt.
“He wants to win another Ballon d’Or with us, and we support him.”
When he made his way to Turin, several people prompted to say Cristiano planned to take Juventus to win the Champions League, which could facilitate him his sixth Ballon d’Or award. Right now things don’t look that favorable for the Portuguese, but he has the support of his team, and that could be enough to turn things around.
