Italian giants Juventus keep signing the best players from their domestic rivals in order to remain as the strongest squad in Serie A. Following a disappointing loss in Champions League in front of Ajax a couple of weeks ago, the Old Lady will try to collect the best possible talent within its ranks in order to conquer Europe once and for all.
In recent hours we learned that the current Serie A holders have reached a ‘broad agreement’ with one of the best players the league has had in the last two or three years, Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The midfielder didn’t have his best season with the Romanians, but his level improved considerably in the last couple of months. He helped his side to win the Coppa Italia, even scoring the opener against Atalanta last week.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says that Juventus have made the Serbian midfielder a top priority for this summer and are now in advanced talks to get Milinkovic-Savic away from Lazio. This report assures Juventus have already reached a 'broad agreement' with the player, but negotiations haven’t started yet; this suggests that the Bianconeri still have to wait before they confirm the Serbian is part of their ranks.
Moreover, Lazio has valued Sergej in €100 million, something that could make things even harder for Juventus this offseason, as it did last season when the Zebras attempted to make a move for the Serbian. The Turinese are expected to sign several players during this offseason in order to win the UCL once and for all, and this guy can be the perfect piece to start building a great team.
