Another summer week is nearing its end and the biggest clubs in Europe are ready to step up and start signing their desire assets before somebody else leaves them with nothing and in a worse situation than the one they had before the start of the market. Manchester United is starting to shape their squad ahead of next season and other teams will try to follow the Red Devils’ footsteps in the next days.
There are still plenty of players who don’t have a new team for the upcoming season, some that are trying to find a new destination before the start of the season and teams trying to replace their outgoing pieces. As usual, if you have missed what is going on around the football world, we have you covered.
These are the latest soccer transfer rumors.
PSG Join Juventus In The Race For Milinkovic-Savic
Paris Saint-Germain are about to lose Adrien Rabiot this summer and the French multiple-champions have already targeted a new midfielder to replace the France international once he leaves the club. According to reports, the potential new PSG player is Lazio’s standout Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbian player has also been linked with a move to Serie A champions Juventus in the last couple of months according to Sky Sports Italy, but 24Matin in France claims that the arrival of Leonardo as PSG's new sporting director will take the Parisians to challenge the Old Lady for the midfielder’s signature.
Paul Pogba ‘Told Juventus Stars He Wanted To Return To Serie A’
Paul Pogba looks more decided to leave Manchester United every day, but the Red Devils don’t seem willing to let the playmaker go this summer, no matter how much teams want to pay in order to acquire his services. Recent reports have stated that Pogba is favoring a move to Juventus instead of Real Madrid.
Now, according to Italian reports (as quoted by the Mirror), the playmaker told his former Juventus teammates that he was keen to go back to the Allianz Stadium during Andrea Barzagli’s birthday party last month. He hasn’t missed any chance to show that he doesn’t want to remain in Manchester, but the Premier League giants are reluctant to sell him.
Lyon President Admits He’s Waiting For Bigger Offer From Tottenham
While several reports indicated that Tottenham Hotspur were about to announce Olympique Lyonnais’ star Tanguy Ndombele as the first reinforcement of this summer transfer window, and the last two as well, nothing happened in the end, when everybody expected the Spurs to make the announcement at any time during this week.
In fact, Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that the club did receive and rejected a €45 million (£40 million) bid from Spurs and that he’s waiting for a bigger offer from North London in order to let the 22-year-old go. 'If I wait another eight days, it will be €80 million,' Aulas told French radio station RMC when discussing Ndombele’s future.
Leroy Sane Remains As Top Target For Bayern Munich This Summer
German winger Leroy Sane is still part of the conversation of Bayern Munich’s potential signings this summer after the current Bundesliga champions demonstrated their interest in purchasing the Germany international after a not-so-good season with his side Manchester City.
Sane is believed to be still sitting at the top of the Bavarians’ wishlist this offseason, but reports indicate he doesn’t want to go to Allianz Arena and is, in fact, talking about a new contract with the Citizens. Still, according to Sky Sports, Bayern are still hopeful that they can pull off a move for the forward.
Real Madrid Give Up On Neymar Transfer, Will Aim To Sign Mbappe Instead
Real Madrid have ruled themselves out of a move for Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr., according to reports. Los Blancos were heavily linked with a move for the former Santos star, but now they appear to be looking somewhere else and will intend to sign a different Paris Saint-Germain player, according to the Mirror.
As it was reported recently, Madrid will continue their pursuit of galacticos next year with the addition of Kylian Mbappe, which would disturb their plans to also bring Neymar to Santiago Bernabeu. Besides, with the forward reportedly interested in going back to Barcelona, giving up on their attempts to sign Neymar is probably the best call for the White House at this moment.
