AC Milan Make Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira Top Target With Franck Kessie Reportedly Leaving
Italian giants AC Milan are keen to sign Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira from Arsenal. With Marco Giampaolo, former Torreira’s boss in Sampdoria, set to become the new Milan manager, he has reportedly made Torreira his top target for this summer after Lucas moved to North London only 12 months ago in a £26-million deal.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have contacted Torreira's representatives to discuss a potential return to Italy. Milan would have to dispatch around £40 million for him, but Tuttosport claims the Rossoneri could offer Franck Kessie as part of the deal. If not, Kessie could be sold to a different team trying to fund raises for Torreira.
Paul Pogba: “It Could Be A Good Time For A New Challenge”
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed his intentions to leave the club this summer, stating 'It could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else'. There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the World Cup winner, with Real Madrid and Juventus following him closely and now the speculations increase after the Frenchman statements.
While in Asia with sponsors Adidas, Pogba said: 'After everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well... I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.’ Wherever he decides to go, it would be a great destination, but right now it looks like a move to Madrid is the most likely for the midfielder.
Manchester United Will Pursue Coutinho And Rakitic If Pogba Leaves
Continuing with the Pogba rumors, Manchester are already preparing to pursue two midfielders this offseason should the French star takes his talents elsewhere. In fact, the Red Devils will reportedly get on the line to sign not one but two Barcelona assets, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic.
With Pogba seemingly parting with the club, Man. Utd. will be looking to get a fee around £150 million to let him go this offseason. According to Mundo Deportivo, United will target both Rakitic and Coutinho to replace the void left for the 26-year-old leaves this summer, and, they might also fix another problem by landing these two players following the departure of Ander Herrera.
Juventus To Make Ultimate Attempt To Sign Matthijs De Ligt
Now that they have appointed a new manager with Maurizio Sarri, Juventus will intend to make their dream to land Ajax’s wonderkid Matthijs de Ligt a reality. Barcelona, Juve and Manchester United have been considered the frontrunners to land the 19-year-old defender but now Paris Saint-Germain could surprise everybody by landing the Dutch star after placing a very attractive offer.
However, according to Tuttosport, Juve’s chief Pavel Nedved is on the lead of a last-gasp attempt to convince the youngster to sign with Juventus. It’s rumored that the former Midfielder has taken control of negotiations with De Ligt's agent, Mino Raiola, and talks are expected to be held in Monaco.
Barcelona President Admits No Talks Have Been Held With Antoine Griezmann
One of the biggest stories of the summer doesn’t look to be nearing its end yet, as the Antoine Griezmann-Barcelona saga continues and is expected to do so longer than expected after the Blaugrana president Josep Bartomeu admitted no talks have been held between the team and the player so far.
Bartomeu told RAC 1: 'There's nothing to announce. We've always said the same. We haven't spoken to him. There's nothing to it. We'll see how the market changes in the next few days and weeks.' In the last couple of days, there have been conflicting reports on the Frenchman future, but now a move to Catalonia doesn’t seem like the most likely for Antoine.
