A couple of days ago, Antonio Conte stole all the headlines because of his unorthodox way of talking to his Internazionale players about their sex lives.
The former Juventus and Chelsea manager advised his players not to spend a lot of energy during their sexual encounters, so they wouldn't feel exhausted during competitions:
“I advise my players to have sex for short periods, with the minimum of effort and use positions where they are under their partners. And preferably with their wives, because then you don't have to put in an exceptional performance," Conte told L'Equipe in an interview.
And naturally, his comments made a lot of people laugh, while others thought he was just taking things way too seriously and getting his nose in things that were none of his business.
So, when asked about those comments, Argentina and Internazionale superstar Lautaro Martinez couldn't help to crack it up and laugh, confirming what Conte said and talking about the importance of rest:
“Yes! We have to continue working hard in training. When we're at home, though, we have to rest... just like he says!" the forward told DAZN, as quoted by Goal.
Notably, Martinez lauded Conte's great job in charge of the team, claiming their still improving day by day, and stating his getting to know Romelu Lukaku better, so that makes it easier for them to thrive in the offensive end:
“We are doing a great job. We must continue like this, improving day by day. Last year, I didn't play as much as I wanted, I didn't have time to prove my worth. Romelu and I are getting to know each other and we're getting better and better," he concluded.
Up to this day, Inter are sitting at the second spot of the Serie A table, trailing Juventus by just one point, and they're having their best season in years. Perhaps, players shouldn't have sex at all during the season.
