Kylian Mbappe is the once-in-a-lifetime kind of talent every team wants on their squad, so naturally, he's been linked with most European giants since completing his move to Paris Saint-Germain a couple of seasons ago.
Notably, he's also been tied with a move to Liverpool for quite some time now, and while it may be tough to complete, former Liverpool standout Stephen Warnock thinks the Frenchman would be delighted to join the Reds.
“I just think because of the way Liverpool have elevated themselves in the last couple of years under Jurgen Klopp, people are now putting stories together linking them with the best players in the world. Let's be honest, why wouldn't they want to play under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool? The atmosphere is incredible and so is the manager.
They have reached two Champions League finals in the last two seasons and a Europa League final not long before that. It's very appealing to go to Liverpool at the moment," Warnock told the Liverpool Echo.
Moreover, the former defender elaborated by stating Mbappe would be motivated to play against the greatest players in the world, a chance he'd only have in the English Premier League, rather than joining Barcelona or Madrid:
“Would Mbappe go to Liverpool? You know what, why wouldn't he come? Why wouldn't he want to play against the best players in the Premier League and really test himself? I think the one problem we face over here with players like that is they often feel like they can only win the Ballon d'Or if they go to Real Madrid or Barcelona," Warnock added.
However, it's no secret that Mbappe has become Real Madrid's top target for the upcoming summer, with Zinedine Zidane flirting back and forth with him and Los Blancos ready to submit a record-breaking offer for his services.
Still, should Liverpool be willing to break the bank and jump ahead of Los Blancos, they'd have the deadliest scoring front this game has ever seen, for sure.
