When Manchester United first signed Romelu Lukaku, everybody expected him to become the team's newest lethal scorer, a younger, stronger version of Didier Drogba that could take them back to the top of the world.
However, the Belgian striker has been vastly inconsistent ever since completing his move to the Theatre of Dreams, and truth to be told, he hasn't looked that comfortable during his time there either.
Then, with Marcus Rashford's surge towards stardom, the former Chelsea standout has fallen down in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's pecking order and would allegedly favor a move out of the team in the summer.
Therefore, it looks like Manchester United has had enough of his comes and goes and would be more than willing to let him complete his so-called dream move to the Italian Serie A, with Antonio Conte's Internazionale reportedly interested in his services.
According to the latest reports, Solskjaer and Manchester United have already found a suitable replacement for the striker: Mauro Icardi, who isn't exactly thriving right now at San Siro.
As per The Express, Antonio Conte isn't counting with the Argentinean star going forward because of his antics and his wife's behavior, so he's bound to make a move out of the team either way.
So, with Icardi on his way out the door and Inter eyeing a move for Lukaku, both parties could work towards an agreement that suits the needs of everybody involved.
Icardi has already outgrown Inter and the Serie A and has shown to be more than ready to take a step forward on his career, but his questionable work ethic and poor behavior towards the team and his teammates have raised a lot of questions about a potential signing.
Lukaku, on the other hand, is a proven scorer and a deadly finisher that could really help Inter get past their opposition, now that they're looking to get back to European contention.
