Internet trolls are at it again, this time taking shots at Manchester United's Paul Pogba for his penalty miss vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday afternoon.

United were given a penalty that could've put them up 2-1 vs. the Wolves at the 68th-minute mark, but Pogba was denied by Rui Patricio and the Red Devils ended up tied at 1 on the road.

Thus, some of their supporters went on to Twitter to blast the wantaway Frenchman, going at him with racist slang and insults and forcing the club to take a stand and release a statement:

“Everyone at Manchester United is disgusted by the racial abuse aimed at Paul Pogba last night and we utterly condemn it. The individuals who expressed these views do not represent the values of our great club and it is encouraging to see the vast majority of our fans condemn this on social media also. Manchester United has zero-tolerance of any form of racism or discrimination and a long-standing commitment to campaigning against it through our #AllRedAllEqual initiative. We will work to identify the few involved in these incidents and take the strongest course of action available to us. We also encourage social media companies to take action in these cases," the statement read, as reported by The Mirror.

Moreover, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire also went on to their Twitter accounts to show their support for Pogba, claiming that attacking him was like attacking the whole team and urging them to put the slander to an end:

“Enough now, this needs to stop @Twitter. Manchester United is a family. Paul Pogba is a huge part of that family. You attack him you attack us all," Rashford wrote on social media.

"Disgusting. Social media need to do something about it... Every account that is opened should be verified by a passport/driving license. Stop these pathetic trolls making numerous accounts to abuse people. @Twitter @instagram," Maguire added.

Pogba is still eyeing a move out of Old Trafford with Real Madrid and Juventus looming around and this kind of behavior from their supporters will do nothing to put his desire to leave at ease.
