Tottenham's hopes to pursue the EPL Championship just vanished as the London team just slipped 2-1 in Vicarage Road against Burnley earlier on Saturday.

Even despite Harry Kane's return for injury and outstanding score, Burnley overcame adversity in the second half of the game and took home the 3 points with a late strike from Ashley Barnes.

With this loss, the Spurs now trail Manchester City and Liverpool by 5 points, with the Reds set to clash against Manchester United on Sunday for the English Derby.

Notably, Mauricio Pochettino looked really upset following the loss against the Clarets, and it looks like the Argentinean has already given up on the Premier League title dream with 11 more fixtures ahead of them.

"We are very disappointed because there are 11 games, the gap can be bigger. Of course, there are a lot of games to play but today, in my mind, we had to win the three points to put pressure on them. We didn’t for different reasons, our mistakes and only because of us. We cannot blame anyone, only ourselves because we were not able to win," Pochettino told Sky Sports.

Now, the Spurs will focus all of their efforts on the UEFA Champions League as they look to seal the deal against Borussia Dortmund after an emphatic 3-0 win at home.
