Even after he took Paris Saint-Germain to claim the victory on Saturday’s game against Strasbourg, PSG’s fans still have some hard feelings towards Neymar. Following the game, the Brazilian forward remarked that every game he plays at home will feel like an away fixture after the treatment he received at the Parc des Princes.

He was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, but a deal was never completed, leaving Neymar hopeless and forced to see out his contract, at least until January. Yet, it’s understood that the Blaugrana will go for him next summer. After all the efforts he made to re-join Barca, PSG supporters don’t have the best feelings about the winger.

Such is their discontent with the star that they booed him throughout the 1-0 win, the day he made his first-team return following injury. One would think the goal he scored helped him, but that was not the case. He discussed this situation after the game (via beIN Sports), admitting this will be a common thing throughout the season.

"I've played in several stadiums being booed. It's sad, but I know from now on it's going to be like playing every game away from home," Neymar said.

Speaking about his summer saga, Ney stated that he tried to push for a return to La Liga, joining forces with Barcelona to persuade PSG to part ways.

"I make it clear that I have nothing against the fans, nor anything against Paris Saint-Germain, but everyone knows I wanted to leave, and I made that clear," he added.

"There were some reasons, mostly personal [for wanting to leave PSG]. I make it clear that it was nothing against PSG and not the fans. But when you don't feel good at one job, you look for another. For personal reasons. I had mine, and I wanted to leave."

Perhaps PSG supporters will change their minds about Neymar, but knowing that he may leave next year, that’s highly unlikely to happen. Maybe an outstanding season in Europe will help his case, but we need to wait to see whether that becomes a reality.
