Neymar Jr.’s second season in Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t been the most desired, as the Brazilian star has struggled to avoid injuries and find consistency with his team, that hasn’t been any better than him, either. Les Parisiens recently won the Ligue 1, as expected, but they were eliminated from the Champions League again after having a comfortable first-leg advantage over Manchester United.
More recently, the French multiple-champions played the French Cup in front of Stade Rennais and just as they did in Europe, they lost a 2-0 lead in front of a minor rival that defeated them in the penalty shoot-out by 6-5.
Following the final, Ney was anything but happy, not wasting time to criticize his young teammates and encourage them to be “more united”, according to Goal.
''We need to be more like men in the dressing room, we must be more united "I see a lot of young players who are not lost exactly, but they lack more ear than mouth. They must listen more than they talk. Sometimes a more experienced guy speaks, and they answer back. The coach himself speaks, and they retort. This is not how a team goes far. We are more experienced, so they must respect us a bit more, listen a bit more. I had to do the same when I was starting out," he concluded.
If that wasn’t enough for the former Barcelona player, he also was caught hitting a fan after the game was over. When PSG was going upstairs at Paris' Stade de France Neymar stopped and bat a phone away from a fan, before getting in verbal exchange. It’s unknown what the pair said, but Neymar reaction was to attack this fan before teammates took him away.
This last couple of hours hasn’t been precisely the best for Ney, who sounds more likely to depart from Paris as the days go by. Maybe his antics could be the detonator of his exit from PSG.
