With Real Madrid ready to make a run at Chelsea's Eden Hazard, it looks like there's another superstar that could be keen to play under Zinedine Zidane at Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos have been closely tied with a move for the Belgian winger, and with him putting his contract extension talks on hold, it looks like Zidane is finally going to be able to get his lifelong desired reinforcement.
Moreover, the team had also been allegedly following Neymar's steps, even though his father played down all rumors pointing toward a potential summer exit from Paris Saint-Germain, claiming he wants to run out his deal at Parc des Princes.
However, the Brazilian playmaker recently talked about his desire to join forces with Hazard, being well aware of the fact that Chelsea's number 10 is pretty much a lock to sign with Real Madrid:
“I would like to play with Hazard. He has a style similar to mine. I think I could give it a try. We would cause havoc together!," Neymar told Fox Sports.
The Brazilian already knows what is like to play at Santiago Bernabeu, although he was on the opposing end during his visits to the Spanish capital from his time at Barcelona.
Nonetheless, his tenure with the Blaugrana didn't end quite well amid a never-ending legal dispute between the team and his father. When asked about his departure from Barcelona, he had nothing but praise for the Catalans:
“I left because I wanted a new challenge, the challenge to win and find something new, to find new tests. Barcelona is a club that has always fascinated me, and I still love it today. But at that time I wanted to try something new and that's why I decided to leave. It was very difficult to make that decision, there were even moments when I hesitated and asked not to leave. I was like that for about two weeks before deciding to go to Paris,” he concluded.
Still, he's been on Real Madrid's shortlist since his days at Santos, so we wouldn't be surprised if he followed Ronaldo's footsteps and join Los Blancos.
