Neymar’s father has played down rumors of a potential return to the Camp Nou for his son, claiming the Brazilian forward will stay at Paris Saint-Germain. It’s not a secret that Ney has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent times, despite leaving the club for a world record fee in 2017.
Now, though, ESPN Brazil report Neymar Santos Senior has said that he won't be negotiating a return for his son to rejoin the La Liga outfit.
“This is not the case. I'm in Brazil and stay here,” Santos said when asked about a possible trip to Spain to negotiate his son's return to his former club.
Despite enjoying a successful tenure with the Blaugrana, Ney decided to leave the club two years ago, becoming the most expensive transfer in history. However, two years later the Brazilian hasn’t had the best times in Paris, with some reports claiming he’s not happy in the French capital.
Injuries and controversies off the pitch have taken Ney to have a complex couple of seasons with Les Parisiens and this season hasn’t been the exception. He missed the summer's Copa America and has made only five appearances so far for PSG this season.
Even though his father claims he won’t leave PSG, Ney was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid, so this won’t be the last thing we hear about this saga.
