Real Madrid Make Luka Jovic A Priority For The Summer

Even though Eintracht Frankfurt recently triggered Luka Jovic's buy clause this week from Benfica, it looks like they won't be enjoying him long enough, with Real Madrid set to make a move for the Serbian in the summer.

Luka Jovic's father claimed that his son would love to stay put at Frankfurt for at least another season, but with momentum leaning towards a potential summer exit, Los Blancos have stepped up on their pursuit for the striker.

The German club could be close to completing the deal of the century, after signing him on a longterm deal for just 6 million and his value currently sitting around 50 to 60 million, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Real Madrid scouts were following Jovic's steps lately, with the Serbian striker completely dominating the Bundesliga and scoring 25 goals across all competitions this year.

Luka Jovic has excelled at the UEFA Europa League as well, scoring 8 goals and trailing just Olivier Giroud as the competition's top scorer. Jovic is incredibly mobile and versatile, as he can play on either flank of the pitch and behind the strikers, even though he's a natural number 9 with a great feel as a finisher as well, and he might as well be a perfect successor for the aging Karim Benzema.

Madrid were also supposed to make a run at Inter's Mauro Icardi, but the Argentinean striker would be a much more expensive signing than Jovic, and his constant antics raise a lot of question marks over his head as he eyes a summer exit from the Nerazzurri.

Moreover, Los Blancos are set to make a huge splash in this upcoming transfer window, as they've also been linked with a potential move for Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, Christian Eriksen, and even Sadio Mane, with Gareth Bale most likely heading out the door.
