Robert Lewandowski's not satisfied with Bayern Munchen's season, even though the team closed the year really strong to secure their 7th straight Bundesliga title while also making it to the DFB Pokal final vs. RB Leipzig.
And, with both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery set to leave the club at the end of the season, the Polish striker is well aware of the fact that his team needs to make a huge splash in the summer transfer window.
So, even if they've already landed Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez ahead of next season, Lewandowski encouraged the German champions to make a run at Manchester City's Leroy Sane:
"That’s a super player with great qualities and great potential. I’ve already seen many times how good he is. That’s a player who can immediately take us higher, who improves the team. The transfer window hasn’t even opened yet and we already have two players, I know there’s still more to come," Lewandowski told German media, as quoted by Goal.
Sane was one of Guardiola's top guns earlier in the season, but the Spaniard didn't count on him that much over the second half of the year, so he's been rumored to try and force a move out of the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
The German striker is still quite young and has already proved his worth in the Bundesliga with Schalke before completing his breakout move to Manchester City.
As for Bayern, the team is likely to move on from Niko Kovac ahead of next season, as they look to replicate their domestic success in the UEFA Champions League following yet another disappointing early exit at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
Sane can play with pace and is an incredibly crafty finisher with both feet, and his ability to play near the sidelines or just behind the striker could provide Bayern Munchen with a much needed versatile forward.
