Real Madrid has been following the steps of pretty much every single player in the world in an attempt to forget all about this mediocre season.
One of the players that have been closely followed by Los Blancos is Liverpool's Sadio Mane, as the Senegal international has thrived ever since joining Jurgen Klopp's team.
With rumors and speculation about a potential move to Santiago Bernabeu growing by the day, Mane finally opened up about his future, claiming he's extremely thankful to God for having the opportunity to join the Reds and how much he loves it at Merseyside.
"For me, I cannot thank God enough, I am very happy and always happy to come to the training ground. I enjoy everything here. Of course, it is a good feeling to come into Melwood and see all the boys. In fact, I am always happy to come to Melwood because my dream came true, to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe with a great team, a great manager… everything is great here, really," Mane told Liverpool's official website.
Mane opened up about his everyday routine and even talked about his family and his relationship with his family:
"One thing I do every single day, however, is speak with my mom, my uncle, and my sisters. They live back home, so I always speak to them on the phone. [...] If I am going back home, I am very excited to be going back because it’s my home country and I love it, but when I am here and working, I don’t feel nostalgic or miss home," the winger added.
Mane is one of the world's most prolific strikers nowadays, scoring 20 goals and 4 assists in 39 caps for the Red this season, so Real Madrid interest is no surprise at all.
Even so, it looks like the winger is quite comfortable with Liverpool right now and would be thrilled to further extend his stay in England.
