Real Madrid hasn’t been able to find success under Santiago Solari, and with the team reluctant to go back to their former policy of just signing whoever they want regardless of the price, things aren’t looking for Los Blancos.
Thing is, Madrid has brought some young talents to Santiago Bernabeu, but they don’t look ready to make an impact quite yet, and it just feels like they’re not going to be able to dominate again unless they go back to signing Galacticos.
We all know Madrid has enough money to sign whoever they want, and all players around the world dream of playing for Madrid or Barcelona. So, who should they spend their money this summer? Let’s take a look at the top 5 names.
5. Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard’s conversations with Chelsea over a contract extension have reached a dead end and Maurizio Sarri believes the Belgian “is not a leader”, so it’s only a matter of time before he calls it a day at London.
Hazard has been closely tied with a move to Real Madrid since Zidane took charge of the team, and he’d be a huge improvement at the wings compared with often-injured Gareth Bale, although they could actually fit next to each other.
4. Neymar Jr
Everybody thought Neymar’s move to Paris Saint-Germain was just a stunt so he could sign with Real Madrid later, but so far, there are no signs of the former Barcelona player arriving at Santiago Bernabeu.
Either way, we all know he grew up a Real Madrid fan and he’s got to play against better competition in order to thrive. He looks bored at France and coming back to Spain would be ideal.
3. Harry Kane
Harry Kane has also been under Real Madrid’s radar for quite some time, especially with Karim Benzema struggling to find the bottom of the nets, and that’s why Tottenham Hotspur signed him to a huge extension.
Either way, money’s not going to be a problem for Florentino Perez is he sets his mind to bringing the best striker in Europe on board. Kane could help Madrid not miss Cristiano Ronaldo as much as they do now.
2. Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe has been around for a couple of seasons now and we think of him as a veteran, but the French wonderkid is just 20 years old. He grew up a Real Madrid fan and could be the team’s go-to-guy for the next 10 years or so.
Despite his youth, Mbappe is quite experienced and one of the best forwards in the world. He’s as fast as a cheetah, and a stunning finisher. He’s not going to be cheap, but he’s going to be worth every penny.
1. Mohamed Salah
And finally, Real Madrid should just jump ahead of FC Barcelona and snub Mohamed Salah out of Liverpool before the Blaugrana do it just like they did with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.
Mo Salah is arguably the hottest striker in the world right now, he led Liverpool to the UCL Champion and has shown no signs of slowing down following a breakout season. He’s just unstoppable.
