The Paul Pogba saga is far from finished right now after several reports suggest plenty of different scenarios for the Frenchman ahead of next season. Pogba is one of the hottest players this summer transfer window but his final destination remains unknown for football fans and even the teams that are chasing him.
With Manchester United demanding a huge fee for their star in order to scare Real Madrid away, things look different for Paul’s previous team, Juventus, as the Italian champions look closer to get a deal completed for the French midfielder.
According to Sky Sports Italy, Juventus’ sporting director Fabio Paratici has traveled to the London offices of Manchester United for face-to-face talks over the potential transfer of Pogba. Negotiations have just begun, and Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo is understood to be part of discussions.
Pogba left Juventus to return to Manchester, where he played in the academy, back in 2016 for a then world record fee worth €105 million and now a similar move looks very attractive for the superstar. However, it is said that his favorite destination will be Real Madrid, where he’ll play under the rule of Zinedine Zidane.
In addition, French international's agent, Mino Raiola, is now free to start negotiating with Italian clubs after his ban, imposed by the Italian FA, was overturned on Thursday. Besides, it is believed that Juve's Sporting director also had time to meet with Chelsea officials to talk about the potential signing of Maurizio Sarri with the Old Lady. Chelsea remain unwilling to let Sarri go unless they receive big cash in return.
Paratici might have achieved something that would definitely help Juventus next season, as he can secure the team’s new boss, the new chief of the midfielder and another player to complement Pogba in that zone, Olympique Lyonnais’ Tanguy Ndombele.
Absolutely nobody knows how all of this is going to end, but as for right now, Juve might have gotten a step closer to sign Pogba this summer.
