Transfer News: Tottenham Demand Real Madrid Star In Exchange For Christian Eriksen

It doesn't look like Real Madrid will back down on his attempts to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, and the Spurs are planning to use that in their favor and land one of the most talented players Los Blancos have within their roster. After an overwhelming season, Madrid are ready to take their level to the next stage and Eriksen is seen as a very good option to help them reach their goal.

But, with Madrid already spending over €300 million in signings ahead of the new season, they continue to be linked with big-money transfers across the continent, and now the midfield is the priority for the Spanish side, who continue to be linked with Paul Pogba and Eriksen.

In order to let Eriksen go to the Spanish capital, Tottenham will 'demand' that Real Madrid offer midfielder Marco Asensio to them if they continue to pursue a move for the Danish playmaker. Prior to these reports, Dani Ceballos seemed to be the player who would be landing in North London in exchange, but now the plans are different for the English.

Nevertheless, now The Sun suggest that the Champions League finalists have put their attention on another player at the Santiago Bernabeu, and according to their latest updates, Tottenham are only interested in including Asensio in a part-exchange to send Eriksen to the Spanish capital.

It’s even believed that the Lillywhites would take Asensio on an initial loan, but Real Madrid are reluctant to give in Spurs’ demands as they've already rejected offers from Juventus for Asensio. Madrid are trying to get rid of some players in order to make room for their new additions, but that’s more closed to players like Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez, not Asensio.

If they are unable to reach an agreement, Los Blancos still keep eyes on the aforementioned Pogba and coveted Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
