After a disappointing season in Europe, Italian giants Juventus are keen to bounce back and translate their national dominance into a continental one and, after another failure this season in the Champions League, the Bianconeri are ready to take it all next campaign.
They already purchased Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, but even with the Portuguese superstar they couldn’t get past the quarter-finals against Ajax and now with their eighth consecutive Serie A title, La Vecchia Signora is planning their next season and how the team will look like.
There are several players who might be making their arrival to Turin in the near future and here we are to describe 6 players who should and might be joining CR7 in Juventus in the upcoming summer transfer window.
This Portuguese striker has been nothing but wonderful this season with his team, Benfica, Felix has enchanted everybody in Europe and now the biggest clubs in the continent are looking to acquire his services.
One of them is Juventus, which has been reportedly discussing the landing of Felix to the team in the last months. Juventus’ desire is not only to bring Felix but his teammate Ruben Dias, so we’ll wait to see if they can pull off a magical move that’ll make them happy for several years.
This Italian winger, son of Enrico Chiesa, is getting more and more recognition as the weeks go by and we got to see him playing at a great level both with Fiorentina and the Italian national side. He is seen as one of the most exciting players in Serie A right now and it’s only a matter of time before we see him playing in a bigger club.
Just like his former teammate, Federico Bernardeschi, Chiesa is very likely to go to Juve after the good season he’s having right now. His work-rate, pace, and dribbling have made him a known and dangerous name in the league and so far, so if it’s not Juventus, somebody else will acquire Chiesa’s services.
Matthijs de Ligt
This center-back has been one of the biggest promises in Europe in the last two seasons or so, turning everybody’s head to him and right now is followed by a lot of teams across the old continent trying to sign him.
Given the fact that both Leo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are aging, de Ligt would make a hell of a replacement for Juventus defense and the new leader that part of the field needs if they want to have success in the near future. Matthijs has displayed all his quality with Ajax this season, being one of the leaders that took the Amsterdam team to the Champions League semi-finals.
France just won the FIFA World Cup last year and it looks like Les Bleus are already preparing to win the next two or three editions of the competition. They don’t stop delivering world-class player to the world and this midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele, is another proof of that. Paired up with Houssem Aouar, Ndombele has made himself a known name across Europe, gaining recognition week after week.
Perhaps Olympique Lyonnais couldn’t stop Paris Saint-Germain’s title streak, guys like Ndombele were one of the biggest stories in the club’s season. This guy is powerful, knows how to dribble and pass the ball, becoming a real threat for rivals. Juventus has an already-stacked staff, but adding this youngster wouldn’t upset any Juve fans.
Rodriguez has been expected to become one of the best players in Europe, but after having decent performances in both Porto and Monaco, things didn’t go so well for James in Real Madrid or Bayern Munchen, even though he had very good times with the Bavarians.
Now, the Germans appear to be ready to let James go and it is the same with Madrid, so Juventus can be a great destination for the Colombian attacking midfielder, who is still young and has a lot to provide to any team that signs him. Sometimes Juventus lacked an organizer who could lead and run the offense through 90 minutes and James can fix that problem quickly.
This is shocking to read, but it can still happen. We all know the story of Paul Pogba being sold to Juventus for nothing to then go back to Manchester United for over €100 million back in 2016 and now history might be repeated but the other way around, as Pogba can be landing in Turin again after years with no succeed at Old Trafford.
We know that Pogba was one of the best players in Juventus when he was part of the team, he joined one of the best mid-fields in the entire world alongside Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal and even though Pirlo and Vidal aren’t with the team right now, Pogba might make his comeback to a team full of great midfielders like Emre Can, Blaise Matuidi or Miralem Pjanic, among others.
