Barcelona have been linked with several players in recent times, especially attackers, as the Blaugrana are ready to bolster their squad and find a long-term replacement for Uruguayan Luis Suarez.
The Catalans were recently linked with four players to take over from Suarez at the Camp Nou, but that is not the end for them. In fact, they’re aiming really high according to recent reports, with the club ‘dreaming’ of the prospect of having Kylian Mbappe as part of their ranks next season.
It’s not a secret that Ernesto Valverde's side has struggled to find a balance in attack this season with newcomer Antoine Griezmann, alongside Suarez, while Lionel Messi's return from injury has added to Barça's congestion in the final third.
The Uruguayan has managed to net six goals across all competitions this season but that hasn’t prevented Barca from planning for life without the striker, and Mundo Deportivo claim that the club is 'dreaming' of making Mbappe their next star frontman.
They note that it’s unclear if Barcelona can afford Mbappe in the next 12 months, but they would look to sign the France international when he is entering the final year of his contract in 2021.
Besides Mbappe, who has been directly involved in 96 goals in 92 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino are two other players that the Blaugrana are following. If that’s not enough, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Internazionale starlet Lautaro Martinez are part of the club’s plans, as well.
Nobody knows what’s going to happen with the La Liga champions and which player they are going to sign in the end, but their wish list is full of great players that will make an instant impact in the club.
