Transfer Rumors: Barcelona Will Go All In To Pursue Two Megastars This Summer

It looks like Barcelona won’t give up on their attempts to sign two of the best footballers in the world right now and they are aiming to pair them up this summer in Camp Nou. Even though it won’t be an easy task, the Blaugrana are confident they can pull off both moves and made their squad one of the most stacked in Europe.

Regardless of how much they have to pay in order to fulfill their summer plans, the current La Liga champions won’t back down on their desire to land both Antoine Griezmann and Neymar Jr this offseason, with Ernesto Valverde keen to recruit them at any cost.

These two players’ paths have been very closed in the last couple of days, with Griezmann being incredibly close to signing for the Catalans, but other reports also indicated that we could be used as exchange currency to Paris Saint-Germain in an attempt to land the Brazilian forward in Catalonia. Now, it seems like Barcelona will keep all the fun for them.

According to Cat Radio, considered by fans as one of the most reliable sources when it comes to Barca rumors, Valverde wants both players, and the club has decided that they will pursue both Griezmann and Neymar this offseason.

It is said that the Griezmann deal has already been agreed, and the Blaugrana are only waiting until July 1 to trigger his €120-million release clause and complete a five-year deal that will send him to Camp Nou. On the other side, things aren’t that easy with Neymar; PSG won’t let him go without recovering around €220 million for the winger, but that price tag could drop if the Spaniards include a player in their offer.

Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and even Ousmane Dembele have all been tipped to make a move away from Catalonia, but Sport claim that it is Philippe Coutinho who will head to Paris as part of the deal, with Barcelona also paying a fee of €100m. Sport also report that the deals are highly likely from a financial perspective.

The two players are willing to take pay cuts and the sales of Coutinho, Rakitic and Umtiti would give them some money, which could be used for in other signings. In addition, Jordi Alba, Nelson Semedo and Arturo Vidal are also seen as potential casualties, as Barcelona look determined to do whatever it takes to complete the deals for Griezmann and Neymar.
