Following a summer in which they spent a lot of money, Barcelona are ready to recoup some of the money they offloaded to sign the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Junior Firpo and Frenkie de Jong. In order to do so, the Blaugrana are planning to sell three big names in deals that could get them more than £100 million.
Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal and Philippe Coutinho have all been identified by Barcelona as the players that will head through the exit door next year. The club need to get nearly £107million before June 30 to meet their budget for the season and now find themselves struggling to reach their financial goals.
According to Marca, Barcelona have begun to talk with a number of their stars and their suitors over prospective transfers. Starting from Ivan Rakitic, who hasn’t seen a lot of action this summer, sparking any kind of rumors about his future at the Camp Nou.
Internazionale are said to be interested in the Croatian midfielder, but it’s unclear how this move would go through, as Barcelona could use Rakitic in a swap deal with the Italians.
Philippe Coutinho left the club this summer on loan to join German giants Bayern Munich. He’s had a good start to the season with the Bavarians, which has increased the chances of a permanent deal for the Brazilian star.
Last but not least, Arturo Vidal has been limited to a substitute role this season, which could prompt Barca to part ways with the Chilean player. Another name that could be leaving Barca is Samuel Umtiti. The Frenchman has been linked with several times in recent weeks, and despite the club wanting to keep him on board, they would consider any good offer that comes for the center-back.
