Giovani Lo Celso is having a great summer with his national side in Brazil, where he’s confirmed the great moment he had during last year. Prior to the start of the summer transfer window, Lo Celso was followed by several clubs across Europe and now, seeing how good he’s fared with Argentina, Giovani is set to receive even more proposals and Betis to demand more money to sell the talented midfielder.
Betis expected the former Paris Saint-Germain star to have a good Copa America, and so far he’s done it just great with the Albiceleste, qualifying to the semi-finals and displaying all the best of his game.
With Lo Celso being tracked down by several teams during the summer, is only a matter of time before we see him wearing a different jersey, but that won’t go through so easy, as the Spanish side is now expecting to get more money from a potential Lo Celso’s sell. Tottenham and Manchester United were rumored to be keeping tabs on the 23-year-old’s situation.
Spurs reportedly offered an initial €40 million bid for the Argentine, but now Betis, according to Marca, are expecting to receive an offer of around €70-€75 million for the player, trying to get a fee close to the €100 million release clause the midfielder has on his contract.
They decided to sign the player permanently after his good performances with the team last season and his contract runs until 2023, so Betis are not hurried to sell the player.
They have the situation under control and know they can get a very good deal if they wait for the right offer.
