Manchester United remain a struggling squad despite tying their last Premier League game against Liverpool, with the board making plans to strengthen their squad and take this team to the top spots once again.
They have been linked with several players over the last couple of weeks and now one of those is actually weighing a potential move to Old Trafford. RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is reportedly considering a transfer approach from the Red Devils, as he starts weighing up his future out of Leipzig.
According to Don Balon, United are ready to go all out to strike a deal for Werner, who is currently valued at around €65 million, according to Transfermarkt. The Germany international is said to be tempted by the idea of playing at Manchester since he’s unhappy with a perceived lack of effort to sign him on Bayern Munich’s part.
They go further and explain that Manchester already gave Werner a huge offer to lure him away from Leipzig, so fans could have reasons to be excited if Timo ends up accepting a move to link up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Besides Werner, the Premier League giants have been linked with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, as per the Transfer Window Podcast, as they need to reinforce their attack in the transfer market. Juventus' Mario Mandzukic was also linked with a move to the Theater of Dreams, but that doesn’t seem so likely to happen right now, with the Croatian striker looking for new destinations.
Werner has been great for his side, but it looks like it’s time for him to call it quits with Leipzig and go play in a bigger team.
