Chelsea are reportedly showing the strongest interest in Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho. But, they’re prepared in case the English international fails to land in Stamford Bridge this upcoming season.

The winger is having another outstanding season in the Bundesliga, showing why he’s seen as one of the best young footballers on the planet right now. According to Don Balon, Chelsea are the frontrunners to get this done deal, but they also state that the Blues have three alternatives in mind in case they cannot land the 19-year-old.

Those three players are Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, and Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to the Spanish publication. Sancho would be the best addition of all the names mentioned, but Chelsea fans would surely be happy to see any of them arrive at Stamford Bridge.

They sold Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer and have struggled to replace the Belgium international. Players like Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic have done well for the Blues, but there’s a belief that Chelsea could land at least one more player in that position.

Sancho seems an ideal long-term replacement for Hazard, as he looks to have the talent to perhaps have an even better career than the Belgian at West London.

Their transfer ban prevented Frank Lampard from adding the pieces he needed to compete for the Premier League trophy this season, but now that that’s over, Chelsea has everything to sign their desired targets and finish the campaign the best way.
