Edinson Cavani is reportedly on his way to Italy to join Juventus on a free transfer next summer. The Uruguayan striker would join the Old Lady to create one of the most dangerous attacks in the world alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain, and Paulo Dybala.
Cavani has been a great figure for Paris Saint-Germain, but the time to call it quits with Les Parisiens has come, and reports state that both he and Thiago Silva will head for the exit door when the season ends. He was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid during the summer, but Cavani is going back to Italy, where he played with Napoli several years ago.
According to Calciomercato, Cavani is set to turn down interest from Manchester United in order to join Ronaldo and company at Juventus.
He joined PSG back in 2013, netting an impressive 195 goals in his 283 matches, while also winning five league titles and four French Cups. Mario Mandzukic has been tipped to leave Juve in January, freeing up a space for Cavani, at the same time Mauro Icardi's loan arrival at PSG with an option to buy reinforces the possibility of the Uruguayan leaving the Parc des Princes next year.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have been rumored to have some interest in the striker, given their struggles in front of the goal so far this campaign.
Juventus have gotten used to sign players for free in the past couple of seasons and they’re apparently ready to do the same in 2020. Cavani remains a great scorer despite being 32, and this is a guy Juventus could use very well to continue their dominance in Italy.
