Internazionale just signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, but that doesn’t seem to be the end for the Nerazzurri, who are set to add one more attacker to bolster their ranks before the transfer window closes.
Latest reports suggest that the Italian giants are monitoring four strikers, as Antonio Conte continues to search for a Mauro Icardi replacement. Arkadiusz Milik, Fernando Llorente, Alexis Sanchez, and Ante Rebic are the four strikers on Inter’s list, with Conte keen to bring competition for Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in the offense.
Icardi is definitely on his way out of the club, with Juventus being his preferred destination, despite rumors saying an 'anti-Juventus alliance' was formed to prevent him from going to Turin. Roma's Edin Dzeko was believed to be a possible target, but he just inked a new deal with the Capital team, closing the door to a potential move to the Giuseppe Meazza.
Now, per Sky Sports Italia, Inter are considering pursuing a swap deal involving Icardi and Napoli's Milik. Moreover, the Italian outfit is also eyeing moves for Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez and former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente. These two have very different styles of play, with Llorente being a classic No. 9, while Alexis has more mobility.
Llorente is currently a free agent after ending his contract with Tottenham. Recent rumors suggested that he could be making a return to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, but nothing has happened yet. As for Alexis, he’s thought to be wanting to leave Manchester, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed his support to the Chilean, claiming he still believes Sanchez can help the team.
The fourth player of the list is one who’s been linked with Internazionale for quite some time, Eintracht Frankfurt's Ante Rebic. Sky states that talks have been 'going on for some time.' However, no deal has been completed.
Another player who was linked with Inter was RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, but Sky claims that the German striker is ‘close’ to join Bayern Munich.
