Juventus are reportedly the first club to offer RB Salzburg wonderkid Erling Haaland personal terms since his release clause has been revealed.
The Italian side are one of several clubs interested in Haaland’s services, who is valued at £80 million after impressive performances this season. However, a twist in the tale could see him leave the Austrian club for much less.
Reports have surfaced claiming the 19-year-old has a release clause of just €20 million (£17m) and it can be triggered in the upcoming January transfer window, per Corriere dello Sport.
Juve have reportedly offered the striker €3m (£2.5m) per season plus bonuses. This would be a great signing for them, as Haaland could be a great replacement for Mario Mandzukic, who’s been out of action with the first team.
Yet, the Bianconeri aren’t the only club trying to make a move for Haaland, with Manchester United still favorites to sign him alongside German giants Borussia Dortmund. So far this season, he’s scored 28 goals in just 21 competitive games, including eight in five Champions League matches.
The Norway international now has the chance to knock Liverpool out of the Champions League on Tuesday night as RB Salzburg host Jurgen Klopp's side in a crucial Group E match-up. If he wants to keep adding suitors, Haaland will have a great chance to do so against the Reds.
