Juventus are reportedly interested in luring N'Golo Kante away from Stamford Bridge, as the tension starts to grow regarding a potential Miralem Pjanic in the summer.
The Bosnian midfielder has been linked with a move to Real Madrid to replace aging Luka Modric, and La Vecchia Signora are reluctant to miss a beat to find a guy more than capable of filling his shoes.
So, according to Calciomercato, the Bianconeri have made Kante a top priority, should Pjanic actually leave the team and join Los Blancos.
As per the report, Juventus had been interested in submitting a bid for the 27-year-old since he made great strides for Leicester City and tried to contact his agent last season, although they didn't make an official bid.
Moreover, Kante has excelled since making it to the English Premier League and has quickly become one of the world's most prolific midfielders, already winning a couple of titles at England besides winning the World Cup with France.
Still, it looks like he's not comfortable right now at Stamford Bridge, with Maurizio Sarri reluctant to shift him back to his natural defensive midfielder spot, as he claims Kante "can't move the ball fast enough" and rather seeing him play behind the strikers.
Moreover, rumors state that Juventus could make a run at the World Champion even if Pjanic winds up staying, as Sami Khedira is believed to be one of Arsenal's primary targets for this upcoming transfer window.
Kante has scored 4 goals to go along with 4 assists this season for the Blues and, at first glance, you'd have to believe he's tailor-made for the Italian Serie A, being a hard-nosed defender that can cover a lot of ground in no time.
As for Pjanic, he's still under contract until 2023, but they wouldn't mind letting him go if the price is right.
