Juventus might be offloading a couple of players next winter transfer window and, while some go out, others will find their way to Turin, including former players. Manchester United’s pursuit of Mario Mandzukic could be back on after the striker seemingly changed his mind over wage demands.
Mandzukic hasn’t played a single minute with Juventus under new boss Maurizio Sarri. Manchester have struggled to score this season after parting ways with both Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, which has prompted them to set their sights on the Croatian, who looks closer and closer to a move to Old Trafford.
According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils have resumed their efforts to sign Mandzukic, with the Premier League giants also interested in Blaise Matuidi for their midfield, but Juventus would prefer to give them Emre Can.
The Italian source claims that a deal has nearly been completed for the 33-year-old after he decided to reduce his wage demands, which would have been the only obstacle to make this deal happen.
Moreover, they add that the Old Lady are ready to try to make a move for Paul Pogba at the turn of the year. The Frenchman is said to prefer a move to Turin instead of Madrid and Juve could take advantage of this situation and sneak a move for Pogba using Mandzukic and one of Matuidi or Can.
Mario needs a change of air following a bad start to the season with Juventus and Manchester could use a player like him to boost their attack. If all this paves the way for a Paul Pogba comeback to the Allianz Stadium, this could be a huge deal for the Zebras, who are keen to reunite with the talented midfielder.
