Transfer Rumors: Juventus Plan To Offer Big Swap Deal To Manchester United

Serie A champions Juventus haven’t made their first signing of the summer, but they are working hard to land their desired assets as soon as possible, with the club’s directives doing everything they can to complete blockbuster deals. Their interest in Manchester United’s Paul Pogba is anything but a secret and the Old Lady will try to reunite with the Frenchman this summer, no matter the price they have to pay, according to reports.

For instance, the Italian giants could be ready to offer Brazilian winger Douglas Costa in an attempt to get Paul Pogba back to Serie A. In recent hours Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici admitted that he and the team still love Pogba and they haven’t lost the hope to see the World Cup winner wearing a Bianconeri jersey.

Following a season with ups and downs in Old Trafford, the French midfielder admitted during a trip in Japan with sponsors that he was thinking of a “new challenge”, sparkling rumors again about where he will be playing next season, if he finally makes his way out of Manchester. Real Madrid look like the favorite side to get Paul’s signature, but Juventus are following the playmaker closely, too, waiting for their opportunity to lure him back to Turin.

Now with all the rumors that surfaced after Pogba and Paratici’s statements, Italian gossip site

claims that Juve are planning to include 28-year-old Douglas Costa in a player-plus-cash deal to bring Pogba back to Allianz Stadium.

The report adds that Paratici and Juve director Pavel Nedved have 'dryly told' Costa that he is not part of the team’s plans for the upcoming season. However, the Brazilian is apparently keen to prove his worth to recently-appointed boss Maurizio Sarri and sees himself as an important piece at Juventus next season.

"I don't know Sarri personally, but I saw him work in Naples. He did a fantastic season and I think we will do great things,” Costa told Calciomercato in a second article.

"I have (another) three years of contract with Juventus and I am convinced to stay. Now everything is new with the coach and I will stay here."

Maybe Costa can be the key to unlock a potential negotiation between the Zebras and the Red Devils for Pogba’s services, as the midfielder is reportedly favoring a move to Juventus instead of Madrid according to journalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Romeo Agresti. Still, United’s asking price for Pogba and the player’s wage could be a problem for anybody who intends to sign him this offseason.
