Liverpool are reportedly interested in a potential transfer for Kylian Mbappe, but the Premier League giants could look for a talented alternative to the French forward.
The Reds know that move may be unrealistic, which is why they have already identified an alternative to the Paris Saint-Germain star.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Liverpool are also interested in a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, who would be a great alternative to Mbappe. The Telegraph claim Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could use his connections at former club Dortmund to get a good idea about Sancho’s potential interest in a move to Anfield.
Nevertheless, it’s still reported that Liverpool’s archrivals Manchester United are confident they’re the frontrunners for the exciting young England international. It would be crazy to say that Liverpool fans wouldn’t be pleased to have a player like Mbappe defending their colors, but it remains to be seen if the current Premier League leaders can get this deal done.
Liverpool have a good case for this signature, as they’re looking like one of the most complete squads in European football, winning the Champions League last season and being on their way to win the Premier League trophy this one.
Even if they don’t get Mbappe, their supporters would be also happy to welcome a player like Sancho, who is a great talent and also a very promising youngster. The English winger spent some time with Manchester City academy before finding his way to Dortmund in 2017.
Now he’s drawing attention from some of the best clubs in the world, and Liverpool appear to be the last one to sign their name on the list.
