Even though Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool is sitting at the top of the world right now, it looks like the Red could continue to further strengthen their ranks in the upcoming transfer window, as they look nowhere near done and will push further for European domination.
Liverpool currently features arguably the deadliest scoring trio in the world with players of the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Mo Salah, so you may think they would look at other sectors of their team when signing a new player.
However, French outlet Foot Mercato claim the Reds are bound to make a huge splash in this upcoming summer transfer window by signing yet another striker, as they've set their eyes in Porto's Moussa Marega.
Marega was already drawing a lot of attention from second-tier teams of the likes of West Ham United and Olympique Marseille, but they were reluctant to meet Porto's 30m asking price for the 28-year-old Frenchman.
While Marega may not be exactly the kind of young player Jurgen Klopp loves to sign, he meets another of his criteria, as he's a speedy scorer that can play in both flanks of the pitch or right behind the striker, and he's the kind of under-the-radar player Klopp usually turns into a superstar.
Also, Marega is coming off an excellent season with Porto, scoring 22 goals in 58 caps for the Portuguese side, and he reportedly impressed the German boss when Liverpool faced them in the UEFA Champions League.
The Reds are yet to win their first English Premier Leauge title in club history and, while they're certainly satisfied with their current project and European success, they're keen to make a lot of additions in the summer to bring more depth to an already terrifying squad and finally put an end to their domestic drought.
