Liverpool are reportedly ready to part ways with one of their biggest figures after recent rumors suggested big clubs like Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain are following Mohamed Salah.
Ever since he made his way to Merseyside from Roma, Salah has become a key player at Anfield, but that could come to an end in the next couple of months.
Now, it looks like the Reds aren’t totally opposed to see him leave as long as they get a proper offer. According to Don Balon, Real Madrid and PSG are among the teams interested in Salah, who would cost €150 million to prise him away from Liverpool.
Still, this wouldn’t be a good move for Liverpool, who surely cannot go back to the days when they’d sell big names like Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho to richer clubs. That would be a step back for them, who were unable to improve their level because of the sales of their stars.
They’re back again at the European’s elite, so letting Salah go would hurt that status. Nevertheless, one could say a huge offer could persuade the Reds to part with the Egyptian, but it’s not sure where that offer will come from.
If they can find a proper replacement for Salah, then it’s all ok, but for now, losing the forward sounds like a very bad move for them. They’ve been linked with Jadon Sancho in recent times, so that could be a very good option. However, fans will hope Salah ends up staying in Liverpool for many more years to come.
