We just got past the 2019 summer transfer window, but rumors don’t stop and we have to be prepared for 2020 when some major moves could happen. That’s the case with Manchester City, who are ready to fight off Real Madrid in their attempts to land one of the best players in the world right now.

The Sky Blues are reportedly ready to rival Madrid for the potential €200 million transfer of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe. As per Don Balon, Mbappe is Madrid’s top priority target for next summer, but City are also eager to bring in a top-class attacker, and Mbappe would be one of their options.

Mbappe joining City would be a huge move for both parties, and Don Balon claims he could actually favor a move to the Premier League instead of going to La Liga to play with Los Blancos.

He doesn’t have much left to prove with Paris Saint-Germain, so a move to a more competitive league is what he needs to keep improving his game. Unlike PSG, City are seen by many people as a potential Champions League winner in a few years, and adding this guy will make things easier.

The 20-year-old is a generational talent who has shown he can win at any stage against any rival. He’s won a lot of titles with PSG, was great with Monaco and just last year became a World Cup champion with the French national team.

If the Citizens manage to beat Real Madrid for this signing, that would be a major move for the Premier League side. They are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, and the potential of success could play a major role in this move, according to Don Balon.
