Inter Miami have been very active in recent days, following players and according to some rumors, negotiating with some of them. They were linked with Gareth Bale and Lionel Messi among others, but it looks like a different player is going to be making his way to Miami.
David Silva is reportedly set to join the new Major League Soccer side after his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer. Silva was linked with a move to Asia at some point, but now his next destination could be in America.
He has previously expressed his desire to end his playing days with hometown club Las Palmas, but things are different now, as he’s expected to sign up to David Beckham's latest project in Florida.
Becks is part-owner of Inter Miami and is said to be eager to land a marquee signing to add more attention to his team. Players like Bale, Messi or Silva will bring a lot of value to the project at the time of promoting their brand and draw in new supporters.
According to the Independent, the former Valencia star is actually attracted to the idea of being Inter's image and knows he can help the team establish both commercially and on the field.
Following a great tenure with Valencia, Silva joined Manchester City in 2010. Following that, the Magician went to win several trophies with the Sky Blues, becoming a total idol at the Etihad Stadium.
This guy has been nothing but great for his side, and despite his age, he has shown he still has a lot left in the tank, and Inter Miami would be more than pleased to welcome him ahead of their debut campaign in the Major League Soccer.
