Manchester United are going through a very entertaining offseason this summer, being linked with plenty of players across Europe right now. They have secured the likes of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but that doesn’t appear to be the end for the Red Devils, who are looking to boost their ranks as much as they can.
One of the zones Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will try to reinforce is the attack, given that Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of leaving the club, with Internazionale thought to be his new team. Lukaku’s departure would leave them with just Marcus Rashford and 17-year-old Mason Greenwood as their strikers, thus some signings will need to be made this summer.
According to 90min, Man. Utd. have been offered both Diego Costa and Gonzalo Higuain on loan this summer, although no deal has been completed for neither player. Costa has been informed he can leave Atletico this summer after failing to display the same things he did during his first stint with the club. Everton and West Ham are the other two clubs interested in landing the Spaniards.
As for Higuain, is well known that Juventus don’t count with his services next season and United have been offered the chance to land him on loan, although we don’t know if the Argentine would actually want to return to England, where he mightily struggled with Chelsea last season.
Last season Higuain netted five goals in 18 appearances for the Blues, receiving criticism from fans more than anything, thanks to his disappointing performances. That said, it’s not so plausible that he wants to go back to England this summer.
Lukaku is keen to leave Manchester and so is Solskjaer. Even though everything points out Inter are going to acquire his services, the Nerazzurri are yet to submit an offer to persuade United to part ways with the striker.
