Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to go at it for the signature of one of the best players in the world. The Red Devils are reportedly one of the clubs in the race to clinch the stunning transfer return of Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal international has recently come under the spotlight for what appears to be a bit of a row between himself and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri after being subbed off in his last two games for the club, with the former Man Utd and Real Madrid star not looking quite as sharp as he usually is much of this season so far.

Time will tell if he finally leaves the Allianz Stadium, but CR7 is now said to be attracting interest from big names like United and Paris Saint-Germain. According to Don Balon, the 34-year-old has long been open to a second stint with the Red Devils, where he became a star between 2003 and 2009.

Ronaldo may be a risky signing now due to his age, but Manchester need any help they can get given the club’s shortage of quality upfront, therefore he’d surely still be useful for the English giants.

They have also been linked with the likes of Mario Mandzukic, Timo Werner and Erling Haaland to bolster their attack, so could do with Ronaldo as a short-term option. On the other hand, PSG could also surely benefit from signing the forward amid doubts over the futures of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes.
