Manchester United are well aware of their struggles and are already making plans to land new players that can finally take them to the top spots. Recent rumors have suggested the Red Devils are targeting four young England internationals for the next transfer windows.
They had big plans for this summer, but things felt kind of unfinished with the English giants, despite landing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire. According to the Manchester Evening News, United have identified Leicester duo James Maddison and Ben Chilwell, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho as players they would like to sign in the upcoming winter and summer windows.
This is not something new for them, who has been linked with each of these players over the last couple of months. The biggest name of the list is Jadon Sancho, a player that’s been on the radar of every major club in Europe for quite some time now, with United reportedly confident they can strike a deal for the winger next summer.
These four names might not be the only ones in United’s list. They are reportedly looking for a ‘full-back, midfielder, forward and striker’. Besides these four players, Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Brescia’s Sandro Tonalli appear to be followed by Manchester among many other possible options.
In addition, Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, who has a history with Manchester, and Lyon striker Moussa Dembele are also part of their plans.
For all of this to happen, they will need to offload players, given that they expected more assets to leave the club this past summer. We still don’t know what they’re going to do and pretty sure they don’t know, either, but Manchester are ready to turn things around after a summer that appeared to be more promising than it ultimately was.
