Paris Saint-Germain have been known for stealing big players from big clubs, and even though this summer hasn’t been the best for them, they will continue their old practices in the future. It’s well known that Kylian Mbappe is one of the most promising players in the world, drawing a lot of attention from some of the best clubs in Europe, especially Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are thought to be making a move for the French striker next summer, which would leave PSG's attack very damaged. But, they have started to work on identifying a proper replacement for the World Cup winner and that player may be in Madrid, only not in Real but Atletico.
According to Don Balon, PSG are eyeing up a move for Joao Felix, who just landed in Atletico Madrid from Benfica. Felix, just like Mbappe, is a very exciting youngster who is already showing that he can be great playing at the maximum level. He displayed his quality with Benfica last season and now with Atletico, as he continues scoring no matter who is in front of him. Real Madrid and Juventus can confirm that.
Don Balon notes that Les Parisiens have €300 million to spend on transfers, and this budget could get bigger if they end up selling Mbappe next summer. They also stated that if Mbappe leaves, PSG will have €350 million available to make a move for Felix; €350 million is the release clause in his contract with Atletico.
If he makes his way to Paris, Felix will have a huge responsibility trying to replicate Mbappe’s performances with the Ligue 1 champions. Since joining the club, he’s tallied a hugely impressive 61 goals and 32 assists in 88 games.
Joao just landed in Atletico, but if he keeps the good level he’s shown during the preseason, he could be set for another move shortly, either for PSG or any other team.
