It looks like Paris Saint-Germain have finally accepted that Neymar Jr. won’t be part of the team next season, and they have gotten to work to find a proper solution to the situation. It was reported by SPORT last Sunday that PSG had decided to part ways with the Brazilian star, even if it’s only on loan.
Yet, Les Parisiens don’t see Barcelona as the best destination for the winger given the bad blood between the two sides and instead have offered the 27-year-old to three European giants in recent days.
According to SPORT, PSG offered Ney to Manchester United, with The Times backing up the Spanish publication while adding more details. They suggested the offer was a €20 million loan fee with United covering Ney’s huge wages for the next 12 months, but they turned it down.
Before that, it was reported that Real Madrid were offered Ney because of the good relationship between the French and Spanish side. Even though he’s been on the radar of the team and their chairman, right now Zinedine Zidane was focused on different players, like Paul Pogba. Moreover, Ney wouldn’t agree to a move to Madrid as he prefers to return to Barcelona.
Besides, Juventus are another team believed to be interested in Ney, and they would accept a loan for him, but again, the Brazilian forward doesn’t see with good eyes a move to Turin, even after the big offseason they're having.
The situation with Barcelona is complex right now. They haven’t confirmed any intention of wanting to sign Neymar, but reports tell otherwise. Still, if they want to complete a deal for Ney, Philippe Coutinho is an option to offer a swap deal, but PSG are more interested in Ivan Rakitic.
Both Leonardo and Tuchel have given the green light to make a push for the Croatian but, as always, the last word belongs to PSG's owners.
