Paris Saint-Germain are ready to part ways with Neymar, but they need to land a replacement first. Luckily, they appear to have found the best option to fill the void Neymar is going to leave at the Parc des Princes.
Les Parisiens are set to meet with Juventus officials to discuss a potential €80 million deal for striker Paulo Dybala, with the Ligue 1 champions eager to strike a deal as soon as possible. Following an overwhelming season with Juventus in which he fell down the pecking order at the expense of Cristiano Ronaldo, Dybala has been rumored to be looking for a new team this offseason.
In prior weeks, the Argentinian striker was linked with both Manchester United and Tottenham, but issues with his wage demands and image rights, as well as the Premier League’s deadline, prevented a deal from being completed.
Now with the two Premier League giants out of the picture, the Daily Mail state that PSG are the frontrunners to get Dybala's signature, with sporting director Leonardo set to meet with the player's agent shortly.
Following a shocking and frustrating loss against Rennes on Sunday, Paris are keen to sign Dybala before Wednesday, as Leonardo thinks they need to add another superstar, and it appears like Paulo is his top priority.
Now the last thing we have to see is whether or not Juventus will accept PSG’s €80 million offer to part with Dybala. The Bianconeri would try to get as much as they can for their asset, with some claiming they could ask for €100 million. But, they are also eager to do business to raise funds for their pursuit of Inter's Mauro Icardi.
If Dybala makes his way to Paris, that will probably unlock negotiations between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, as the Blaugrana are keen to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou on loan, with an obligation to sign him permanently next summer.
