Transfer Rumors: Philippe Coutinho To Manchester United, James Rodriguez To Arsenal

There are only a few days left in the January transfer window so the rumors are continuing to heat up as expected. Here are some of the latest surrounding the top clubs in Europe.

Coutinho To Man United Depends On One player

Philippe Coutinho has struggled in recent times for Barcelona leading to speculation that he could be exiting the Nou Camp soon.

Manchester United are surprisingly linked with the former Liverpool midfielder but according to Spanish publication Marca, any move depends on the performances of Barcelona teammate Ousmane Dembele.

If the Frenchman continues to improve and consolidate his place in the starting eleven, Coutinho's role will be further reduced, at least in an advanced role, which could pave the way for a potential move away from Spain.

Will United land the Brazilian and would his ties to Liverpool play any role?

Arsenal Looking Into James Rodriguez Loan Deal

Arsenal have made contact with Real Madrid over a potential loan deal for James Rodriguez. That’s according to the Independent, who state Napoli are also interested.

Rodriguez is currently on loan to Bayern Munich from Madrid and is set to return to Spain at the end of the season.

As it stands, all clubs would favor a loan deal, including Bayern, and such a move is preferred by Arsenal whose finances are tight at the moment according to manager Unai Emery.

Rodriguez wants to fight for his Madrid place, but it may be futile with the La Liga club linked with moves for Christian Eriksen and Eden Hazard.

AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain’s loan deal to Chelsea is almost complete and his medical is expected to be completed on Tuesday.

Higuain is currently on loan at Milan from Juventus, but a deal has been struck as Chelsea look to solve their striker woes.

Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata on the other hand, is expected to move to Atletico Madrid on loan, with the 2014 La Liga champions having the option to buy him on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
