It looks like all of the sudden, Raphael Varane just can't bear the idea of being at Real Madrid for one more second.
After being a fan favorite and an undisputed starter for Los Blancos for quite some time, the center-back has no desire to further extend his stay at Santiago Bernabeu and wants out of the team right away.
The defender was reportedly upset about the fact that the team didn't even congratulate him for winning the World Cup last year and now, he's even told his teammates that he wants to get out of Real Madrid, as per Marca.
Moreover, the 25-year-old refused to discuss his future with Real Madrid when local media inquired him prior to this FIFA window, where he'll represent his national team.
"I do not want to talk about my future. I am not one to discuss my future publicly," Varane told Le Parisien (via COPE) on Wednesday.
Everybody thought Zinedine Zidane's comeback would be more than enough to entice the Frenchman and convince him of staying put at Spain's capital, but not even Zizou's appointment is going to be enough for Varane, still, he had nothing but praise for 'The Magician':
"I appreciate him both as a person and as a coach. He has been very important to me. It is curious that there were the same doubts about him when he became a coach in January 2016 as there with me before the World Cup. He has managed to silence the critics and has shown his ability to lead the largest club in the world."
Moreover, European giants of the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool have reportedly inquired about a potential move for the 25-year-old, but his 500m release clause makes him quite difficult to sign unless Florentino Perez is willing to work out a deal, which seems unlikely at the moment.
