Real Madrid have been linked with several strikers in the last few weeks, and those rumors don’t appear to be stopping any time soon. Right now Los Blancos are said to be interested in bringing in Harry Kane from Tottenham, but that deal could be very difficult to carry out for the Spanish side.
Kane’s price tag of €200 million is preventing Madrid from chasing the English striker, which is why they have turned their attention to different and cheaper players. The last one to make it to the list is Chelsea’s standout Tammy Abraham, who has had a sweet start to the season with the Blues.
He has scored eight goals in eight matches so far, tying with Sergio Aguero as the Premier League top scorers this season, drawing attention from big clubs in Europe.
According to Don Balon, Real are eager to sign Harry Kane, but his price tag has led them to set their sights on Abraham. Karim Benzema has been good in recent months, but he’s not getting any younger and Madrid officials are well aware of that. His level hasn’t been the same it used to be and it will continue to decrease.
We still have to wait and see if Chelsea want to offload Abraham, given that they don’t have many options in their attack. If they decide to part ways with the 22-year-old, the fee Los Blancos will have to pay would be huge.
Still, one imagines it wouldn’t be as huge as the price Madrid would have to pay for Harry Kane if they decide to go for his signature.
