Real Madrid are ready to step up their game in the pursuit of Kylian Mbappe, with Los Blancos reportedly interested in a swap deal involving one of their most promising players.
Reports from Spain suggest the La Liga side are willing to part ways with Vinicius in a possible swap deal for Mbappe, one of the biggest targets for Real in recent times. The Frenchman forward is enjoying another impressive campaign thus far as he’s bagged 11 goals and four assists in 14 appearances for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
Besides, it’s believed that other top teams from around Europe are interested in signing him, something that Paris Saint-Germain want to avoid. They’re terrified of a scenario in which they see him leave given his importance to the side.
However, as per AS, PSG sporting director Leonardo is a big admirer of Vinicius, and so it’s suggested that if Real Madrid were to include the Brazilian youngster in talks over Mbappe, things would be easier for the two European giants to reach an agreement as he was requested in talks over Neymar last summer.
The report also adds that Mbappe's reluctance to sign a new deal with Les Parisiens could play in favor of Madrid, so time will tell if things go their way and they can sign the talented player once and for all.
Given that Vinicius has struggled to establish in Zinedine Zidane’s starting lineup this season, only contributing with one goal and one assist in 11 matches, Madrid wouldn’t see with bad eyes letting him go if that means they could get Mbappe in return.
He faces fierce competition in the final third at the Bernabeu with Karim Benzema being supported by the likes of Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale, Isco and another young Brazilian starlet in Rodrygo. Mbappe quality would take him to play a pivotal role, while Vinicius would have trouble finding his way to the starting XI every week.
