Days after Kylian Mbappe was linked with a move to Liverpool, Real Madrid have received big news in their pursuit of the French striker. Mbappe could be finally making his long-awaited move to Madrid next year, as Los Blancos could steal one of the best players in the world next summer.
This guy has a bright future and many people wonder where he will continue his career. Well, it looks like Madrid is going to be his next destination. Florentino Perez loves to throw money around and Madrid need a true superstar to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappe looks like a good candidate for the job and might even help to elevate them above Barca in the coming years.
Paris Saint-Germain have so much money that it’s hard to picture them as a selling team, but Mbappe’s contract situation could take the French side to sell him rather than see him leaving for free in a couple of years.
Marca recent commented on some statements from French outlet L’Equipe. The publication states PSG know they will struggle to tie the forward down to a new contract. Neymar is currently on €30m per year after tax, so it’s natural to think Mbappe would want the same amount to stay put at the Parc des Princes.
PSG are unable to do that just now, so the best option for them could be selling Mbappe before it’s too late. The report also notes Zinedine Zidane is eager to land Mbappe and, in the case of PSG fail in the Champions League this year, they consider that the tipping point which sees him leave Paris.
Obviously, this will be a hard loss to the Parisians, but they will prefer to cash in on the World Cup winner before losing him for nothing.
